18 May 2018Raymond Sinclair Memorial 10tt

CFCC hosted the Raymond Sinclair Memorial 10tt on Wednesday 16th May on the A9 course. Riders had a headwind on the way out to the turn at Cullrosie roundabout making the outward leg tough going but the return leg a bit quicker aided by a tailwind.

The fastest rider on the night was Kyle Gordon of RT23 finishing in a time of 20.44 mins with a tie for second place between Colin Duncan of Elgin CC and Brian Duncan of Sparta Breda who both finished in a time of 21.57 mins.

Graham Beaton of Moray Firth CC fastest rider on handicap and winner of the Raymond Sinclair Memorial Trophy finishing in a handicap time of 19.50 mins.

Amanda Wagstaffe of East Sutherland Wheelers took the women’s prize in a time of 27.43.

In the Juniors/youths Ali Munro of RT23 was the fastest in a time of 21.58 mins.

The Vets Standard prize was won by Mark Dryburgh of Ross-Shire Roads CC with a standard of +3.46.

CFCC had two riders competing on the night David Stuart was the fastest finishing in a time of 24.43 mins with Alan Cook finished in a time of 28.46 mins.

CFCC would like to thank everyone who came out to marshall , Brian and Sarah for timekeeping and Donald for doing Commissaire and most importantly Carol, Ashley and June for taking care or the refreshments for us.

Another windy night for the club 10tt this week, A strong tailwind helping riders out to the turn but making it a tough headwind back. Riders times were :

David Stuart  23.48 mins

Alan Cook  28.32 mins

Ross Macdonald  29.12 mins

CFCC had three riders competing at the Scottish Cycling National 10tt on Sunday morning. Conditions were not great with a strong headwind on the way out to the turn and rain for the earlier starters. 

David Stuart 23.28 mins

Scott Macdonald  25.19 mins

Alan Cook 30.03 mins.

Another blowy night for the club 10tt this week. Tailwind out to the turn at Cullrosie roundabout and a headwind back to the finish. Riders Times were:

Riders at this weeks club 10tt had a fast ride out to the turn at cullrosie roundabout with a strong tailwind assisting. Once round the turn though it was a tough push all the way back to the finish. Riders times were:

Scott Macdonald  23.48 mins

Alan Cook  28.25 mins

Next weeks Club 10tt will be at 6:30pm again, new riders are welcome to come along and have ago.

The Club 10tt will be on Tuesday evening 6:30pm start. As last year these are club confined events as with Scottish Cycling rules. New riders are welcome to come along and have a go at a couple of events with a view to joining the club.

16 April 2018Garve 2up

Scott and David got their race season underway on Sunday at the Garve 2 up tt which was organised by MFCC. The mist cleared on the course to a lovely sunny day with a slight headwind on the way back from Achnasheen.

  

 

 

23 February 2018Club Runs

Cromarty Firth Cycling Club club runs are Sunday morning rides of around 40 miles and usually with a coffee stop along the route. We meet in the carpark behind Alness High Street in time for riding out at 9.30am. These rides are social rides to done at a pace to suit whatever riders are there all are welcome and nobody gets left behind.
