Three CFCC riders were competing at the Club 10tt this week. A tailwind out made for fast going out to the turn but also meant a headwind on the way back to he finish.Riders times were :

Only David and Ross were riding this week at the club confined 10tt. It was a warm night with some light rain. Riders times were :

It was a very warm night for the CFCC club 10tt this week but once again riders had a tough outward leg into the wind. Only Darak and David competing this week. Riders times were:

04 July 2018Caithness Weekend
David Stuart made the trip up to Thurso this weekend to take part in the Caithnes race weekend.
On Saturday afternoon it was the Mack Mowatt Memorial 25tt / SC North Championship. A strong headwind made it tough going on the way out to the turn but then riders had a good tailwind on the way back to the finish. David finished in a time of 1.01.25 in 8th place overall.
On Sunday morning it was the Caithness 10tt, Conditions were the same as Saturday with a strong tailwind out and blow back to the finish. David finished in 24.19 mins in 8th overall.
In the afternoon it was on to the Loch Calder 11 mile Hilly, the windy conditions made for tough going depending on where you were on the course. David finished this one in 29.59 mins in 7th overall.

11 June 2018David Bruce Mem 50tt/SC North Champs
Cromarty Firth Cycling Club hosted the David Bruce Memorial 50tt / SC North Championship on Sunday 10Th June. Conditions were good for the 16 riders who took to the course which runs from Balintrad out onto the A9 up to the Dornoch Bridge , Then south to the Cromarty Bridge and then back north to Kildary and finishes on the B817 just past Polnicol Hall.
Fastest Rider on the Day was Tom Broadbent (Elgin CC) in a time of 1.51.39 followed by Colin Duncan (Elgin CC) 1.57.49 and Sean Quin (Law Wheelers) in 3rd in 1.58.35.
Fastest Lady on the day was Jennie McColl (Aberdeen Wheelers) in a time of 2.09.13. Kyle Cartmell (RT23) was the Junior winner in a time of 2.04.21 and Alisdair Washington (Caithness CC) won the Vets Std with a time of +32.44.
This was also the Scottish Cycling North Championship 50tt and the medal winner were:

Good numbers out this week for the CFCC club 10tt. five riders had a headwind on the way out again this week but the return leg was slightly faster with the tailwind. Riders Times were :

18 May 2018Raymond Sinclair Memorial 10tt
CFCC hosted the Raymond Sinclair Memorial 10tt on Wednesday 16th May on the A9 course. Riders had a headwind on the way out to the turn at Cullrosie roundabout making the outward leg tough going but the return leg a bit quicker aided by a tailwind.
The fastest rider on the night was Kyle Gordon of RT23 finishing in a time of 20.44 mins with a tie for second place between Colin Duncan of Elgin CC and Brian Duncan of Sparta Breda who both finished in a time of 21.57 mins.
Graham Beaton of Moray Firth CC fastest rider on handicap and winner of the Raymond Sinclair Memorial Trophy finishing in a handicap time of 19.50 mins.
Amanda Wagstaffe of East Sutherland Wheelers took the women’s prize in a time of 27.43.
In the Juniors/youths Ali Munro of RT23 was the fastest in a time of 21.58 mins.
The Vets Standard prize was won by Mark Dryburgh of Ross-Shire Roads CC with a standard of +3.46.
CFCC had two riders competing on the night David Stuart was the fastest finishing in a time of 24.43 mins with Alan Cook finished in a time of 28.46 mins.
CFCC would like to thank everyone who came out to marshall , Brian and Sarah for timekeeping and Donald for doing Commissaire and most importantly Carol, Ashley and June for taking care or the refreshments for us.
