This week conditions looked good for the CFCC midweek 10tt with next to no wind out on the course.CFCC had 9 riders racing this week.Alan Cook managed another pb this week and Kyle Mackay would have taken time off his pb had it not been for his chain coming off.Riders times were:

On Sunday 29/8/10 CFCC riders Mike Gordon and David Stuart went to Muir of Ord to compete in the Moray Firth CC 2UP Time trial .They set off on the course out of Muir of Ord towards Conon and Maryburgh then David had to struggle to keep Mike in sight as he powered up the Brahan road once over the top they went downhill and turned off to head through Marybank and on back into Muir of Ord to complete lap 1 then disaster just as they were starting the second lap Mike's front tyre punctured ,race over.

CFCC had eight riders out on Tuesday night for their midweek 10tt.Conditions were okay with a tailwind out to the turn at Cullrosie roundabout but this made for a hard push back to the finish.Despite the headwind on the way back two riders managed pb’s with Debbie Macdonald taking almost 1minute off her previous best ,Kyle Mackay also managed to take 9 sec’s off his best time.Times Were;

On Saturday afternoon two CFCC riders headed to Garve to take part in the Helpers 25tt run by RRCC .David Stuart was off number 7 with John Urquhart 1 min in front at number 6.Out on the course the riders were faced with a slight headwind on the way on the way out to the turn at Achnasheen.Cfcc riders times were:

With torrential rain hitting Ross-Shire in the afternoon it looked as if this weeks 10tt would be called off.Thankfully the rain stopped by 7pm so 5 CFCC riders took to the course .Times were:

Iain Longbotham Memorial

On Sunday 8^th Aug. Cromarty Firth CC held the Iain Longbotham Memorial 25tt on the A9 course down to Ardullie roundabout.42 riders had the best conditions of the year with a warm ,dry morning with just a slight headwind on the way out to the turn.The good conditions resulted in some fast times with 17 of the riders going under 1 hour for the 25miles.Carlos Riise (Shetland wheelers) was the fastest rider on the day covering the course in a time of 53.15mins with Mari Todd (Sandy Wallace cycles)the fastest lady with a time of 57.50mins.

2^nd Jim Cusick (Glasgow Couriers) 54.22min

3^rd Barry McGurk (Glasgow Couriers) 54.56min

On Sunday 25th july CFCC rider David Stuart travelled to Garve to compete at the Moray Firth CC 25mile TT .Conditions were not great with a strong headwind and rain showers on the way out to the turn at Achnasheen.David struggled into the wind to record a time of 1:07:39.

Scottish National 50tt Championship

Cromarty Firth Cycling Club hosted the Scottish National 50tt Championship on Sunday 27^th June ,34 riders had to fight a hard headwind along the A9 to Ardullie roundabout and on the last leg through Saltburn and along the shore road to the finish at the bottom of the Dalmore corners.Carlos Riise (Shetland Wheelers) was the fastest man on the day recording a time of 1:50:50 to become Scottish Champion .In the ladies race Christine Mclean made it a double celebration for Shetland Wheelers taking the ladies title in a time of 2:02:59

CFCC riders Mike Gordon and David Stuart were in action on thursday night at the Ross-shire Roads 2 up TT .18 teams took to the A832 road to race the 25 mile course to Achnasheen and back.Mike and David finished in a time of 1:03:04 to place 8th overall.

39 riders took to the A9 on Wed 19^th may to contest the Raymond Sinclair Memorial 10tt .Conditions were good with a slight headwind on the way out to the turn.The Raymond Sinclair Mem trophy which is awarded to the fastest rider on handicap was won by Kenny Riddle of Bikes Of Inverness who was riding for MFCC.

Two CFCC riders were in action this weekend at the Angie Macdonald Memorial 25tt hosted by Ross-shire Roads cc on Sunday 16th May.David Stuart and Mike Gordon were both racing with Mike showing the better early season form to finish 10th ,17 seconds ahead of David.

The race was won by Peter Alexander MFCC in a time of 56.28min with Ian Black SWC in 2nd in a time of 57.01min and Norman Skene GCRT in 3rd in a time of 59.34min.

CFCC rider John Urqhart got his season underway at the weekend at the Bealach Beag event in Sheildaig on Sunday .John managed to finish the 43 mile course in a time of 2hr 57min.John made it up the Bealach climb in a time of 39.36min.
