David Stuart and Alan Cook made the trip up to Thurso this weekend to take part in the Caithness Cycling Club Festival of Cycling.

First up on the Saturday afternoon was the Mack Mowatt Mem.25tt. With a strong tailwind on the way out it was fast going out to the turn . Once turned though it became a hard push back into the wind to the finish. Alan managed to take nearly  two minutes off his pb to finish in a time of 1.11.49 while David managed to record a time of 1.03.19 to win the Vet. Std prize for the 40-50 age group.

On Sunday morning Alan and David were joined by Mike Gordon first for a 10tt. With the wind still blowing riders out to the turn the CFCC riders posted some good times. David and Alan both managed  pb’s with David getting another Vets.Std prize.

On Sunday afternoon it was onto an 11 mile hilly tt out past Loch Calder and back towards Thurso. CFCC riders times were :
