Cromarty Firth CC club colours got their first competitive outing of 2013 on Saturday 23rd March when David Stuart travelled down to Fort William to take part in the No Fuss Events, Wee Triathlon.
Based at the Lochaber leisure centre first up was the swim section which was 16 lengths of the pool then out the bike. The route had to be changed due to the high winds felling several trees over the off road section so it was up through Glen Nevis on the road into a very strong headwind once at the turn though it was a fast return to the leisure centre aided by the tailwind total bike distance around 9 miles . Once the bike had been racked it was off back up the road through Glen Nevis again this time on foot to the turn then back to Fort William and the finish at the leisure centre total run 3.9miles. David managed to finish in a time of 1:13:45 finishing 16th overall.
