After consultation with the clubs in the region regarding training needs, we have set up a local training weekend aimed at club members, officials & volunteers in the region. This will take place on the 7th & 8th of March.
This is a great opportunity for club members & officials to learn how to organise road and off road events, improve existing events and learn/further develop their skills with manual and chip timing. It is aimed at any club members who are keen to learn more and support racing in the region.
The training will consist of theoretical and practical workshops with the chance to ride your bike in the afternoon. The training is free and hot drinks & snacks will be provided, please bring a packed lunch. Come along for one day or both days to really get the most out of it. Sessions will start at 10am sharp but coffee's will be served from 0930 both days.
There will also be a commissaire training session held on the Sunday.
Please spread the word as we are keen to see as many members as possible make the most of this local training opportunity before the racing season kicks off. It will be a good chance to get together to share best practice and catch up with each other.
We are fortunate to have secured a group of very experienced tutors (and guests) to help deliver the sessions:
Bob MacFarlane (SC)
Janette Hazlett (SC)
John Macmillan
Kevan Sturgeon
Facilitator: Donald Hall (SC)
Spaces are limited, please sign up online:
